FA (General) Introduction
The FA (General) program at AIOU is designed for students who have completed their Matric and wish to continue their higher secondary education. At the HSSC level, 18 credit hours are compulsory and 30 credit hours are elective. This combination ensures a balanced approach between core subjects and personal interests.
The compulsory courses are distributed over the first two semesters, with 12 credit hours in the first semester and 6 credit hours in the second semester. This structure allows students to focus on essential subjects early in their academic journey.
AIOU offers admissions for this program in both the Spring and Autumn semesters each year, giving students across Pakistan multiple opportunities to enroll and pursue their studies without delay.
