To provide you with the best pet tracking experience, we access certain information based on the permissions you grant:
- Pet Profiles & Media: Pet names, breeds, health data, and photos you upload are stored locally on your device.
- Health & Growth Data: Vaccinations, weight entries, and medical logs are stored locally to generate reports and summaries.
- Device Information: INTERNET and Network State permissions are used to ensure app functionality and display relevant ads.
- Contact Information: Veterinarian contact info (name, phone, clinic address) is stored locally for emergency call purposes. With your permission, this information may be filled in automatically from your device’s Contacts.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Manage and display your pet’s profile and growth charts.
- Send notifications for scheduled reminders (vaccinations, feeding, medication, etc.) using Exact Alarm and Vibrate permissions.
- Facilitate one-touch calls to your saved veterinarian in case of emergencies.
- Display non-personalized or personalized ads via Google AdMob.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: All pet details, weight logs, medical records, and optional veterinarian info are stored locally on your device.
- Third-Party Services: Google AdMob may collect device identifiers to serve ads. See Google Play Services Privacy Policy.
- File Provider: We use a secure File Provider to manage pet photos safely within the app.
4. Data Deletion
Pet Health Tracker – Dog & Cat does not transmit your data off your device. Users can delete their data at any time by:
- Removing individual pet profiles from within the app.
- Uninstalling the app from their device.
Once deleted or uninstalled, all locally stored data is permanently removed.
5. Permissions Explained
- Camera/Storage: To take and save pet photos.
- Contacts: To optionally auto-fill veterinarian name and phone number from your device’s contact list, only when you choose to use this feature.
- Notifications & Alarms: To alert you of pet care tasks at specific times.
- Boot Completed: To reschedule your pet reminders automatically if the phone restarts.
6. Children’s Privacy
Pet Health Tracker – Dog & Cat does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
