• AIOU roll number
• Gender
• Enrolled program and regional campus
• Profile picture (optional, uploaded by you)
• Device information for app functionality

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your student account
• To show you assignments and books relevant to your program
• To display your regional campus contact details
• To verify your premium membership status
• To send you important academic notifications and announcements
• To provide WhatsApp-based customer support
• To improve app performance and user experience

3 Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on our WordPress-based server hosted at aioustudentguide.com. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) to protect your information during transmission.

Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are encrypted using WordPress's secure hashing system. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third parties.

4 Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services:

• Google Play Services — for app distribution and updates
• Google Drive — assignment and book PDF files are hosted on Google Drive
• WhatsApp — for direct support communication (only opened when you tap Contact)

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We do not share your personal data with these services beyond what is necessary for the app to function.

5 Premium Membership and Payments

Premium membership is activated manually after payment via JazzCash. We do not collect or store any payment card details, bank account numbers, or financial information inside the app.

Payment is made directly through JazzCash to the account holder. After payment confirmation via WhatsApp, your account is manually upgraded by our team.

6 Children's Privacy

Our app is intended for use by university students aged 18 and above who are enrolled at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe this has happened, please contact us.

7 Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Update your profile information at any time through the app

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via WhatsApp or email and we will respond within 48 hours.

8 Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you request account deletion, we will permanently remove your data from our servers within 7 working days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
