Region History – AIOU Regional Campus Sialkot
The Regional Campus Sialkot of Allama Iqbal Open University was established on 28 February 2007. Since its inception, the campus has been dedicated to providing accessible distance learning opportunities to students across the district.
Geographical Coverage
The Sialkot Regional Campus covers one district with a total of four tehsils:
- Sialkot
- Sambrial
- Daska
- Pasrur
This coverage enables AIOU to serve a wide range of students in both urban and rural areas of the Sialkot district.
Student Services and Facilities
To support students, the Regional Campus offers a variety of services aimed at making academic life smooth and accessible:
- Help Desk / Student Facilitation Center for academic and administrative queries
- Assistance with admissions, assignments, workshops, and general academic concerns
Enrollment and Academic Support
- Total enrollment of 11,605 students in the Spring 2022 semester
- 555 tutors supporting learners across various disciplines
- 9 examination centers established to ensure smooth exam processes
